Free FlickIt
That’s right, we’re offering FlickIt for free! Ludicorp, creators of the excellent Flickr service which powers FlickIt, had emailed us to make us aware of the terms for the API usage that we were in violation of by charging directly for FlickIt. Had we taken the time to peruse this information earlier, we would have never begun to charge for FlickIt, hence this announcement.
What does this mean to you?
We’re hoping that this means a larger and quicker distribution of a product that we think is great! FlickIt is incredibly handy, and it saves countless amounts of time - we would want nothing more than for everyone to be able to use it.
So we’re moving forward as scheduled, FlickIt will be receiving regular updates and we will still be supporting FlickIt on the FlickIt User Group.
If you enjoy using FlickIt, we ask that you donate any amount you’d like to via Paypal. To do this, you can either send money to chancecube@gmail.com, or go through our FlickIt process.
If you’ve already paid
If you’ve already paid for FlickIt, you can request a refund by sending us an email. If you don’t, we’ll consider this your donation, and want to thank you in advance.
Looking ahead
FlickIt version 0.2 is almost ready for release. Its sporting many new features, some of which we’ve jotted down. However, we’re looking for more great features to build into FlickIt so let us know even your wildest of ideas.
Spread the word
Now that FlickIt is free, we ask that you let as many people know about it as possible. You can download a high-res logo and create a button, or just use a text link to let people know what you think FlickIt.

For those of you taking part in the FlickIt Affiliate Network, your links will all remain the same. However, the terms have changed slightly. Now, if anyone you send our way donates towards FlickIt, you will get a 20% kickback on any amount they donate.
