FlickIt’s history, and its future

FlickIt 2.1 released

For almost a month FlickIt has been rendered useless. Flickr recently made some adjustments to their API, which broke FlickIt’s functionality. Since I had not been developing FlickIt actively for a while, this had gone unnoticed by me until just recently.

After doing some digging around, I was able to figure out the root cause of the issues FlickIt had with the new API methods, and I made the proper adjustments and released FlickIt 2.1.

Also new in FlickIt 2.1 is that I removed the need to have a username and password. When I made FlickIt donation-ware, I had forced the users of it to enter in a demo username and password. I have now removed that, making it even easier to use FlickIt.

You may download FlickIt 2.1 free of charge, though we are accepting donations. If you do not upgrade to FlickIt 2.1, your version of FlickIt will not work.

Although I hear much sarcasm in your voice, I have been asked this else where. And yes, FlickIt 2.1 will work on the Intel-powered Macintoshes.
