A tribute to Wine Library TV
What do you do when your friend’s wine-tasting videocast hits 100 episodes? You drink some wine in tribute to that accomplishment.
This weekend Mike, Chris, and I decided we’d pay tribute to Wine Library TV for reaching 100 episodes of their increasingly popular show. One hundred episodes is nothing to sniff at. It takes most normal television shows 5 to 10 years to reach that milestone. So let us be the first to say “Congratulations Gary and the Wine Library crew, we hope you are able to continue Wine Library TV for thousands of shows.”.
With that - here is our tribute. If you have any trouble watching the video, be sure you have the latest version of QuickTime.
Be sure to subscribe to Wine Library TV and watch every episode as Gary Vaynerchuk drinks crappy wine, so you don’t have to!
The wine information
We only tasted one wine in our tribute (unlike Gary we have to pay retail for this stuff). The wine we tasted is a 2002 Cabernet Franc ($21.95) from Miles Wine Cellars on Seneca Lake in New York (map). We bought this wine while on a trip to the Finger Lakes in New York. Here are some photos from our trip.

I’m touched. You guys make my life worth living, thank you very much for this video. *sniffle*

johnk: I suppose Pickles (the cat) could be considered one of ChanceCube’s mascots. Phillip, Mike’s snake, would be the other one.

Matty: We actually drove “back 45 minutes” but we’re about 2 to 3 hours South East of Seneca in the Northeast PA area.

Gary “Vaaay—–nur—-chuuuckkkk” said to come here.
Enjoyed the Wine Library “show.”
A great way for friends to get together.
Looking forward to your “Episode 2″.

Good effort, guys. I was expecting a spoof, but saw it more as an homage. By the way, my take on the Old World vs New World issue… Old World = subtle, complex and refined (”Hmm, I detect a basket of dark cherries, a smearing of road tar, hints of quartz crystal and an underlying field of marsh grass”). New World Fruitbomb= in your face and less multidimensional (”HEY, RASBERRIES!!!”). Thanks for the diversion.

1st?!?! j/k
never commented on WLTV, but thought this was so funny that I had to comment. Do I get a t-shirt?

John: Thanks. We’ll see what we can do about Episode 2 and more.
DaveL: We wanted to combine the two by having a little fun at Gary’s expense but also give some thoughts on the wine, especially since it was my first real tasting (if you can call it that).
BA: No shirts yet but maybe in the future ;^) Glad you enjoyed the video though.

Dudes,
Great job on WLTV, LOL! I had a great time watching your video. When you start lining up the wines, get a spit bucket!
Mark
