Happy Pals
A plugin for WordPress to help denote relationships within links.
It sounds simple, and really it is. If you link to anyone, or anything, from within your posts - you may want to denote the relationship you have with that link. Most people would do this by using XFN attributes such as the REL attribute within their links. And this is something we encourage, but we can help make your life even easier with Happy Pals.
What does Happy Pals do? Lets say that you have a post with three distinct links. The first link is to your friend that you have never met (rel="friend"), the second is to your friend that you have met (rel="friend met") and the third is to a page that you own (rel="me"). Happy Pals will automatically locate the links that have those, and other, rel attributes and add the appropriate classes to those links. Using CSS styles you can show the different relationships in your links to anyone visiting your website.
Happy pals in action! To give you a small taste of what Happy Pals will allow you to do, here is an example page that has happy pals enabled.

Still a little confused on how to use rel attributes to your links? Further information can be found at the XFN web site and the W3C web site.
WordPress is an open source blogging platform. Happy Pals is currently only available as a WordPress plugin but we encourage those that would like to port it to other platforms to do so.
